Spallshield®
Spallshield® from DuPont™ is an anti-spall composite that prevents the showering of glass that occurs when conventional glass fails.
Spallshield® is a combination of PVB, PET and a hardcoat. It is typically used in transportation or ballistic applications where human safety is paramount. Spallshield® composite lamination increases the penetration resistance of a given thickness of glass and is also particularly attractive in high-security applications.
