Safety That Works -
June/July 2008

A newsletter to help you protect people, property and operations

This month’s issue of Safety That Works reports several highlights of the XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health, recently held in Seoul, Korea from June 29 through July 2. As one of the premier sponsors, DuPont was gratified to see over 4400 people from more than 100 countries attend this year’s Congress, which is held only once every three years.

The DuPont symposium on “Best Practices for a Safer and Healthier World” featured four presenters who clearly demonstrated their passion for saving lives and attracted a standing room only audience of 150 people, the largest symposium audience by far at the World Congress according to organizers.

The International Labour Organization, a World Congress organizer, released a new report on working conditions and the signers of the World Safety Declaration reported on their progress in promoting workplace safety in their own organizations.

We hope you’ll find all this of interest and value as you continue to guide your organization on its own journey to world-class safety.
