An orientation to hazards and safe work practices on residential construction sites
If your employees are going to be safe on a residential building site, they’ve got to be able to anticipate and recognize construction hazards before the hazards find them. DuPont’s Building on Safety™ is designed to help your workers do just that. It’s a 23-minute video that will open their eyes to common worksite hazards and help them see opportunities for safety in the ways in which they work around other people, use their tools and personal protective equipment, and in the orderliness of the worksite.
Shot on real building sites with real people, Building on Safety™ shows busy residential construction sites with homes in many different stages of construction. The video uses the DuPont STOP™ observation categories to create a framework for recognizing hazards and understanding how to address them. Viewers stay engaged through safety stories and interviews that illustrate the real-life effects of injuries and the importance of following safety guidelines in order to prevent injuries.
