A team comprised of more than 10 DuPont business units, including: DuPont Electronic Technologies, DuPont Fluoroproducts, DuPont Engineering Polymers, and DuPont Performance Elastomers recently united as "One DuPont" to exhibit its range of semiconductor materials at Semicon West in San Francisco, California. Semicon West is the largest exhibition in North America devoted to semiconductor and related microelectronics manufacturing.
During the exhibition, DuPont announced new product developments in microlithographic polymer films, formulations for chemical mechanical planarization slurries, DuPont™ Vespel® polyimide parts and shapes, and permeation resistant materials for semiconductor fluid handling components and tubing.
"Our theme 'Connected by Science' highlighted how DuPont is working together and with our customers globally, applying science and technology to advanced semiconductor materials," said T.V. Srinivasan, global business director, DuPont Semiconductor Fabrication Materials. "As electronic devices continue to get smaller, faster, and more functional, new material sets are required to meet these challenges. The complexity of integrated circuits will continue to be the source of opportunity for DuPont."
