DuPont™ Sontara® is an exceptionally strong, nonwoven textile sheet fabric created by DuPont hydroentangling technology, known as spunlacing.
Imagine shooting thousands of high-pressure, needle-like jets of water into blended fibers. Now, picture the fibers, entangled by the jets, first dried, then wound and finished, creating a super-strong, durable, tear-resistant three-dimensional sheet structure known as spunlaced fabric.
Any combination of fibers can be entangled, including polyester, rayon, acrylic, nylon and wood pulp, creating virtually any type of fabric required, from absorbent to repellent, for targeted use in many applications.

The Sontara® manufacturing process removes environmental impurities, which can contaminate and damage surfaces, and the high-energy jet-action used during the process creates an exceptionally low-linting material.
And, when you choose Sontara®, you’re choosing a product from DuPont, a worldwide industry leader with over 200 years of manufacturing experience.
