Even with regular care, certain conditions can crop up in your spa. DuPont™ Spa Care provides several products to troubleshoot specific conditions that can occur, such as the need to adjust pH, cloudy water or waterline deposits.
DuPont™ Spa Care pH Increaser
Available in 2 lb bottles.
The pH level of your spa water should be maintained between 7.2-7.8. Occasionally, due to environmental factors or heavy use, the pH levels can fluctuate. If the pH of your spa water tests low (below 7.2), add DuPont™ Spa Care pH Increaser.
DuPont™ Spa Care pH Decreaser
Available in 2 lb bottles.
The pH level of your spa water should be maintained between 7.2-7.8. Occasionally, due to environmental factors or heavy use, the pH levels can fluctuate. If the pH of your spa water tests high (above 7.8), add DuPont™ Spa Care pH Decreaser.
DuPont™ Spa Care Clarifier
Available in 1 qt bottles.
Clear, sparkling spa water is a must. To treat cloudy water, add 1.5 oz of clarifier per 300 gallons of water. Clarifier contains an ingredient that coagulates suspended particles in the water, so that they can more easily be removed by your spa’s filtration system. To help maintain water clarity, you can also add DuPont™ Spa Care Clarifier weekly (at 1.5 oz per 300 gallons).
DuPont™ Spa Care Defoamer
Available in 1 qt bottles.
Some foam is normal, but if the foam in your spa or hot tub doesn’t dissipate after turning off the jets and blowers, add one or two squirts of DuPont™ Spa Care Defoamer. It is a silicone blend made especially for spas and will temporarily get rid of foam. If foam persists, check for low calcium levels, or clean and refill your spa.
DuPont™ Spa Care Surface Cleaner

Whenever you drain and refill your spa, or if you’re doing some spot cleaning, DuPont™ Spa Care Surface Cleaner helps remove stains and scale from surfaces. This cleaner is an effective blend of concentrated acid and should always be used according to the label’s directions.
