DuPont Surfaces

Buying Granite

DuPont maintains close quality control over its granite slab selection for each color offered. However, since the beauty of granite is a result of it's origins in nature, it may contain color variations, surface marks and blemishes. The pattern and color may vary slightly within the same slab, even, though the slabs may have been cut from the same area. Being a product of nature, these variations are not unexpected and add to the unique character and natural beauty of the installation in your home. Paper samples are available for general color selection, but exact match to store samples cannot be guaranteed for your actual countertop.

Granite Certified By DuPont™ is now available in your local Lowe's stores in the following areas: Baltimore/DC Metro, San Francisco Bay Area, North & South Carolina, Southern New Jersey & the Philadelphia Metro, LA Metro, Phoenix and the Dallas/Forth Worth Metro. There are three steps to the purchasing process:

Initial design and measurement
Based on measurements that you provide, a knowledgeable professional will discuss the unique characteristics of granite with you and provide you with an estimated price.

Templating visit

A DuPont certified technician will visit your home in order to finalize measurements and discuss the position of sinks, cabinets, and any seams. Keep in mind that stoves, sinks, and cabinets must be in place before this visit.

Installation
Installing your Granite Certified by DuPont™ countertop takes from 4-6 hours on average.
