Solid, Speckled, Soft or Shining: Selecting Your Color of Corian®

Picking from the wide range of colors can be challenging, so consider the following when choosing the right color for your home.
  • Visit a retailer, a kitchen and bath remodeler or www.Corian.com to research the color palette.
  • Select fabrics in the colors you are contemplating (as well as some you might not be considering). Spread them over your existing countertops to get a better feeling for how it will look.
  • Remove any curtains, artwork or other items that will distract your attention from the new color.
  • Live with the fabric for a day or two, until you are certain either way.
  • Because they are on the same visual plane, floors and countertops should relate to each other in some way —whether by texture, color or feeling.
  • The countertops need not be an exact match to the cabinetry, making it easier to be bolder —or even more neutral —with your choices.

Accessorize to Personalize

Paint, area rugs, curtains, artwork and other accents will help finish the room.
  • Keep the kitchen's color palette tight, repeating different hues of the same color. Each color should be repeated in at least three different areas of the room.
  • Add depth and individuality to a kitchen by layering different styles and periods. Use pieces that you love, allowing each one to enhance the other's significance and purpose.
  • To make the room feel more spacious and inspiring, don't break up your surfaces with cutting boards, etc.
  • Bring in one piece of artwork that holds all of the colors you have introduced into the space. This will bring uniformity, without upsetting the original feeling of your room.
