DuPont Corian® Unveils 2005 Color Introductions Featuring Concrete Aesthetic at K/BIS

LAS VEGAS , NV , May 10 – 12, 2005 – Designers attending this year’s Kitchen/Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) will get a first-hand look at the latest trends in surfaces from DuPont Surfaces. New in 2005, DuPont introduces six new colors of Corian ® – Concrete, Fawn, Serene Sage, Suede, Tranquil and Whisper – that feature a fusion of the aesthetic appeal of concrete with the durability and performance of Corian ® . Featured at booth 2136, the new colors’ matereality, or emotional expression, evoke feelings of tranquility and calm, providing homeowners with a subtle, fresh and stylish backdrop for everyday living.
Concrete has enjoyed a long and illustrious history as a building material, from the ancient Egyptian Pyramids to the modern Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Due to its unpretentious and calming aesthetic, the use of concrete has evolved over time from being a structural material to decorative surfacing material that lends itself to the soft contemporary style of today.

The newest introductions, which bring the offering to over 110 colors, were designed to blend seamlessly with the most prevalent materials used throughout today’s home.
