ATLANTA, GA, June 18, 2005 – Atlanta’s design-savvy residents will be among the first in the country to experience some of the newest colors and aesthetics by DuPont ™ Corian ® solid surfacing and Zodiaq ® quartz surfacing. The two flagship brands were selected by Southern Living as the sole surfaces to spotlight in its newest Idea House, which is situated in Glenwood Park and opens to the public June 18.

Among the variety of surfaces showcased in the home is the new “concrete” aesthetic offered by DuPont, which fuses the visual appeal of concrete with the durability of a DuPont Surface. Aptly named “concrete,” the color of Corian ® featured in the home’s laundry room is a warm grey color with a sage undertone. During the Kitchen and Bath International Show in Las Vegas in May 2005, DuPont introduced six colors of Corian ® and four colors of Zodiaq ® in its concrete aesthetic.

The home’s designer, Mary Margaret Nevin of Nevin Interior Design, selected calm, tranquil colors of DuPont solid and quartz surfaces for the kitchens and baths, as well as innovative areas, such as the laundry room.
