Award Received in 2004

At an Industrial and Utility Vehicle technology conference in 2004, Club Car was honored for its innovative development and engineering of the "Precedent" model golf cart.

The INNOVA award, from IUV magazine, recognizes innovations in product development that improve efficiency and performance. Club Car's cited innovations included use of DuPont™ Surlyn Reflections® molding alloys, for a glossy finish on molded parts, needing no paint or clearcoat.

Club Car is one of 20 firms to receive an INNOVA award during the program’s 5-year history.

Other innovations recognized in the award for the Precedent golf car were its AlumiCore™ chassis, the only automotive ladder-style aluminum frame in golf cars; and its bumper system, which provides all-around impact protection for the vehicle.

The Precedent's use of Surlyn Reflections® resins for molded-in-color body panels was noted for resisting damage and eliminating maintenance associated with clear-coat finishes and paint.
