Fuel Cell Components for Future Transportation Opportunities

Cars and other transportation applications require fundamental advances in materials, as well as system technologies.  DuPont has more than 30 years of experience in fuel cell technology  and market development and is working to deliver these future opportunities to the market.  One of the first uses of fuel cells, based on DuPont™ Nafion® membranes, was by NASA in the 1960s for the Gemini program.  The company leverages its expertise in science and engineering, including polymer chemistry, materials engineering, catalysis, and conductive coatings - all of which are critical to the performance of the fuel cell - to provide a total offering for fuel cell materials development.
