Thermoplastic Nanocomposites for High Performance, Lightweight Parts

Advances from DuPont's fundamental research into the behavior of nanomaterials in polymers will lead to development of nanocomposites offering significant performance improvements. The result will be lighter weight plastic parts that don't sacrifice critical properties. The company believes  that these new materials will find application in a broad range of automotive applications where weight reduction is a priority, and expects the first nanocomposite products to enter the market next year.
