High-quality, long-lasting bonds meet demanding quality control specs
DuPont™ Tedlar® flexible product adhesives are versatile acrylic adhesives developed specifically, but not exclusively, for use in laminating Tedlar® PVF protective films to a variety of substrates. With these adhesives, high-quality, long-lasting bonds can be achieved to meet demanding quality control specifications of manufacturers worldwide.
These flexible adhesives have superior durability, resisting light and moisture degradation and discoloration. In some applications, the bond is warranted for 25 years.
These adhesives come in three forms:
- Acrylic adhesive 68080 – a liquid that can be preapplied to Tedlar® to facilitate lamination of products for interiors, such as vinyl wall coverings, and for exteriors, such as architectural siding, awnings, signage and fabrics.
- Acrylic adhesive 68040 – a thermoplastic that can be cured with epoxy resin to give thermoset properties. It has been used to bond Tedlar®, vinyls, aluminum foil, DuPont™ Nomex®, nylon, paper and wood products. As an extrusion primer, 68040 has been applied to polypropylenes, aluminum foil and PVDC-coated films, as well as polyolefins, such as DuPont™ Surlyn®, EVA polyethylene, and polyethelene.
- Acrylic adhesive 68070 – a liquid that is used with resin solution 68065 to bond Tedlar® to aluminum and galvanized steel of various gauges.
