April Issue:

Get Your Good Going with Onions

Call them nutritional, ripe edible roses, the first buds of the season. Whatever. The appearance of red radishes squashes winter blues and adds sparkle and pizzazz to any dish. Radishes are the color of early spring in April and right on through late spring in June. Look at these in tones of violet and deep pink that are ready to melt into any hot dish or garnish any salad. We use them here in a pea soup. So check out that recipe. And while we are in the season, we have poultry with spring leeks.
