Peeling Back the Pods
Fresh produce will begin to dwindle at your local grocer and farm market as summer ends.
However, there are plenty of more sturdy grown goodies on the way from the good earth such as Cranberry Beans, so-called because of their color.
The beans are so picturesque we could not help but peel back the pods and let you have a peek of what’s still on the way before the snow falls!
The beans are terrific in recipes, because they have a nutty flavor. Serve them cooked (the color does fade) as is with herbs or use as you would white beans in a recipe.
