Chocolate Chip Apple Bread
Servings: 1 loaf
Applesauce is a healthier substitute for butter in most recipes. Usually you can change 1 cup butter (2 sticks) to 1 cup applesauce.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, mix the flours with the sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the applesauce and blend with a rubber spatula until mixture is crumbly. Stir in the egg and then the apple juice slowly to smooth out the mix but not make it runny. Fold in the chocolate chips; pour into a 9x5-inch loaf pan coated with DuPont™ Teflon® non-stick. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
