Baked Apple BBQ Pork Chops with Sauerkraut recipe

Although we don’t prepare them on the grill, a homemade sauce gives these chops a magnificent char-broiled taste.

 

Ingredients

Sauce:
1 tablespoon grainy mustard
1 teaspoon ketchup
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon Worcestershire

Chops:
2 cups sauerkraut, undrained
1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
3/4 cup thinly sliced carrot rounds
1/2 green apple thinly sliced
2 center cut pork chops

Directions

Mix together the ingredients for the sauce. Preheat the oven to 350°.

Toss the sauerkraut in a bowl with the onions, carrots and apples. Transfer the mixture into a medium rectangular baking pan with DuPont™ Teflon® nonstick coating. Place the chops on top of the sauerkraut mixture and spoon the barbecue sauce over them. Bake 1-1/4 hours or until the pork is tender and there’s almost no pink in the center.
