Show Time: Zucchini in Bloom

 

Look for these bright, almost marigold-colored flowers that are actually the blossoms of the zucchini plant. They are edible!

Cut them up into a summer salad or stuff them with goat cheese, removing the middle stamen inside the flower; it’s tough to chew.

You can also just dip the blooms in beaten egg, then breadcrumbs and sauté them in a little olive oil in a skillet with DuPont™ Teflon® nonstick.
