Zonyl® 8929B has been granted the Seal of Approval (SOA) by the CRI for use as a pre-spray by the Carpet and Rug Institute’s SOA Program.  This carpet cleaning product can be used as a carpet pre-spray, spotter and hot water extraction cleaner. For best results, as a pre-spray follow with hot water extraction.  Zonyl® 8929B provides superior soil break up, emulsification and release.

DuPont announces the introduction of a new and improved product, Zonyl® 9933 carpet protector to replace Zonyl® 5180. Zonyl® 9933 is a patented fluorochemical which delivers superior soil resistance and unmatched durability to traffic and cleaning for the lifetime of the carpet.  Zonyl® 9933 provides excellent water- and oil- repellency, and also stability. The use of Zonyl® 9933 is identical to that of Zonyl® 5180, and provides improved performance.

On February 5, 2007 DuPont announced that it has successfully commercialized a new, patented manufacturing process to remove greater than 97% of  trace levels of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its homologues and direct precursors from its fluorotelomer products such as Teflon® Advanced carpet and upholstery protector. This milestone meets key commitments of the EPA voluntary stewardship program for product content, three years ahead of schedule. The new “LX Platform Products” are expected to be drop-in replacements for current DuPont products, and they will continue to be listed on existing global regulatory inventories..
