Q: What is Teflon® fabric protector?
A: Teflon® fabric protector is an industry leader in durable stain and soil protection for apparel, home textile and a variety of other items made from textiles.  Teflon® works on all fabric types by surrounding each fiber with an invisible molecular shield guarding against oil- water-based stains, dust and dry soil.  All of this, without impacting the look, touch, feel, color or breathability of the fabric.  

Q.  Do products with Teflon® fabric protector need special care?

Q.  Will Teflon® fabric protector wash out?  How long will it last?
A.  Teflon® fabric protector is built right into the fabric, which means it keeps protecting the fabric wash after wash.    

Q.  Isn’t the Teflon® brand used on pots, pans and other cookware?  How can fabric treated with Teflon® finish remain soft?   
A.  While the Teflon® brand name is used on a variety of products, Teflon® fabric protector is developed specifically for fabrics, so it does not impact breathability or feel. 

Q.  Can I buy a spray can of Teflon® fabric protector to treat my fabrics?
A.  Teflon® fabric protector is applied at the fabric mill or finisher for durable performance and is not available in a consumer applied spray product.  For upholstery and carpets, Teflon® Advanced Carpet and Upholstery protector can be applied by professional cleaners.
