Ulsan, Korea
Our TiO 2 slurry plant is just one of three DuPont plants at the Ulsan site. Located on the southeast coast of Korea, Ulsan has many manufacturing complexes for the automobile, shipbuilding, and petrochemical industries, making it the largest industrial city in Korea.
Since 1994, we have manufactured R-746 slurry at Ulsan to supply major paint companies in Korea. In 2001, we began to convert conventional R-942 to R-746 slurry. R-746 slurry is now the multipurpose grade of choice for producing our customers' architectural paints.
The Ulsan facility also includes a technical service lab that offers services and programs to paint companies in Korea and southern Asia Pacific countries.
