Tyvek® Wall membranes can be used in most forms of wall construction and provide excellent protection against external weather conditions whilst allowing water vapour to freely move out of the construction. With the Tyvek®  membrane an important reduction on radiant heat losses can be achieved.

Tyvek® satisfy all of the functions of a breather membrane which are summarized in the following points:

• It protects the fabric of the building from rainwater penetration during construction before external claddings are completed. 
• It provides a second line of defence against water penetration during the life of the building as most claddings act as rainscreens, rather than as complete barriers. It allows moisture vapor to escape from the construction. 
• It contributes to air sealing the wall and reduces ventilation heat losses. It provides durable, long-lasting protection.
