DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap®

Easily installed prior to the building's exterior facade, DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap® helps protect against air and water infiltration while allowing harmful moisture vapor to escape the wall cavity. This building wrap can hold up to the rigors of a commercial job site because of its increased tear-strength, durability and ability to withstand UV exposure for up to 270 days. 

DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap®  may contribute towards U.S Green Building Council LEED® points in the categories of Energy & Atmosphere, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation in Design. By following the guidelines set forth under the USGBC LEED® program, and by sealing the building with building wrap, you can build more sustainable structures that cost less money to operate and less effort to maintain through improved energy efficiency. Working with other products in the DuPont Weatherization Systems, DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap® helps to ensure a sealed, protective building envelope.

DuPont™ Tvyek® Specialists attend pre-job meetings, conduct site visits, and ensure that DuPont Weatherization Systems products are installed properly.  From the latest updates on building codes, to on-site consulting and training, your local DuPont™ Tyvek® Specialist will help you make sure the job gets done right.

The performance of DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap® as a building wrap meets the 2006 International Building Code (Section 1403.2. Weather Protection) that requires exterior walls to provide the building with a weather resistant exterior wall envelope.

DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap® also meets the air barrier requirements of ICC-ES AC-38, the ASTM E1677 Standard Specification for a Type I air barrier and passes the ASTM E2357 standard test method for determining air leakage of air barrier assemblies. DuPont™ Tyvek® CommercialWrap® meets the National Building Code of Canada 2005, Massachusetts Commercial Energy Code, Wisconsin Energy Code, and the ASHRAE 90.1 Model Energy Code.
