DuPont™ Tyvek® AtticWrap™
DuPont™ Tyvek® AtticWrap™ is a revolutionary breathable membrane designed to provide superior attic insulation for improved energy efficiency and attic moisture control. The unique, metallized surface helps to deliver unparalleled attic insulation by reflecting radiant heat while the breathable membrane helps prevent moisture build-up by allowing attic moisture to pass into the designed air space and vent to the outside of the roof structure.
How It Works:
The metallized surface on DuPont™ Tyvek® AtticWrap™ helps reduce heat build up in the attic. Air channels beneath the sheathing cools the roofing materials. The sealed rafter bays
drain roof leaks and wrapped eaves resist water intrusion in high-wind areas. DuPont™ Tyvek® AtticWrap™ provides a secondary drainage plane for the roof. Moisture vapor that migrates into the attic diffuses through DuPont™ Tyvek® AtticWrap™ and into the vent channels where it is carried away by exterior ventilation air. The sealed attic creates a dry, semi-conditioned space.
