Cleaning Solvent (Fluorinated)

DuPont™ Vertrel® specialty fluids were developed as an ideal replacement for ozone depleting and high global warming solvents such as CFC-113, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, HCFC-141b, HCFC-123, HCFC-225, and PFCs. DuPont™ Vertrel® fluids have excellent environmental properties, zero ozone depleting potential, and low global warming potential. DuPont™ Vertrel® fluids are accepted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program as substitutes for ozone depleting substances.

Developed with performance and the environment in mind, DuPont™ Vertrel® specialty fluids are used for a wide variety of cleaning applications. DuPont™ Vertrel® fluids have unique physical properties such as low viscosity, low surface tension, and high liquid density that enable effective wetting and ensure superior cleaning performance. In addition to these physical properties, DuPont™ Vertrel® Specialty fluids have low acute toxicity and are non-flammable, making them safe and easy to use.

DuPont™ Vertrel® can be used in a vapor degreaser, as a wet wipe, or in cold cleaning. This flexibility allows DuPont™ Vertrel® to be used for a wide range of cleaning applications, which are listed below.
