BEHIND GLASS WEATHERING EXPOSURE APPLICATIONS

All under glass outdoor exposures meet the requirements of
ASTM G24 Standard Practice for Conducting Exposures to Daylight Filtered Through Glass unless otherwise specified.

Exposure Behind Glass:
Samples on adjustable standard aluminum racks or on a blackbox are exposed behind a layer of glass. The glass attenuates some of the incident solar radiation impinging on the sample and serves to protect the samples from rainfall. This type of test is used for products with indoor end-use environments such as draperies, upholstery fabric and other interior applicaitons.

ASTM G24 specifies single strength window glass. Other standards often require special glasses that are more appropriate for simulation of the end-use environment, such as automotive windshield glass. For example The Under Glass Black Box test is an OEM specified test for interior trim.

All angles and backings are available as appropriate.
