• Expanded Carpet Offering in Europe

  DuPont™ Sorona® has announced further expansion into the European market with three key carpet and rug manufacturers, including The Balta Group, a global market leader. The Balta Group is officially launching the AMAIZE® carpet collection which is made with DuPont™ Sorona® renewably sourced polymer and patented DuPont fiber technology.
• DuPont Receives BioPreferred Label

  DuPont™ Sorona® renewably sourced fiber is one of the first 11 products approved to use the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) new product label on certified biobased products. The announcement was made by U.S. Agriculture Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan at the biobased product meeting held here.
• Sorona® Oeko-Tex®-Certified

  DuPont Industrial Biosciences, today announced that DuPont™ Sorona® has received Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class 1 Certification from Oeko-Tex® and the Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute. Sorona® renewably sourced polymer is certified for use in fiber applications for textiles (apparel, home, office, and automotive interiors) and for carpet (residential, commercial and automotive including mats).

• DuPont Adds Colors with Greater Recycled-Content

  WILMINGTON, DEL., Jul 26, 2011 – DuPont adds colors with greater recycled-content to the Corian® Terra Collection. It now includes 33 colors, with five colors with at least 20 percent pre-consumer recycled content.
