Craig F. Binetti is president of DuPont Nutrition & Health. Mr. Binetti joined DuPont in 1977 at the Linden, N.J., Grasselli site as a process engineer. His career includes a wide variety of professional and managerial positions covering research, manufacturing, finance, sales, marketing and business positions in the Chemicals, Pigments, Elastomers, Polymers and Fiber businesses.
From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Binetti held a number of positions in the paper, film and polyester businesses in the United States and in Europe. From 1998 to 2002 he was vice president and general manager of Polyester Fibers, Resins & Intermediates. In March 2002 he was named vice president and general manager of DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. In June 2007 he was named president of DuPont Nutrition & Health and chairman of Solae. In September 2009, he added responsibility for DuPont Applied BioSciences. In this combined role he served as a leader in the successful acquisition of Danisco, a global leader in specialty food ingredients and industrial enzymes. He was named to his current position in May 2011. Through the combination of the specialty food ingredients of Danisco and Solae, which was fully acquired in 2012, and of DuPont microbial diagnostics offering, the new Nutrition & Health business is today a leading food ingredients and food safety solutions provider to the food and beverages industries worldwide.
Mr. Binetti holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from University of Delaware. He is affiliated with Cornell University Alumni Association. He is past chair of Easter Seals board of directors for Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore, serves on the University of Delaware College of Engineering advisory board and participates in charity basketball fundraisers for cancer and multiple sclerosis research.
