Today, DuPont scientists are turning their attention to the next generation of even healthier trans-fat-free plant-based oils to meet the demands of health-conscious consumers.

At DuPont, we draw on extensive knowledge and experience in the oils and fats industry to develop innovative, healthier oils and spreads, trans-fat-free alternatives, and plant-based solutions. For example, Solae™ lecithin, when used as an emulsifier in mayonnaise and margarine, results in a healthier and still delicious spread alternative.

Oil from Pioneer® brand Plenish™ high oleic soybeans deliver 20% less saturated fat than commodity soy oil and 75% less than palm oil. They also offer producers the opportunity to blend, optimizing cost and functional requirements. And these oils can be used in high-temperature environments where conventional soybean oil is not an option.

To help remove unwanted and unhealthy fats in oil processing, DuPont™ Danisco® emulsifiers help to eliminate trans fats from low-fat spreads, reducing the lipid profile to better support heart health.
