- INDUSTRY: Building & Construction
- LOCATION: Chicago, USA
This story looks at how DuPont is collaborating with the Ronald McDonald House Charities and local architect, Joe Antunovich, to construct the charity’s new 14-story, 86 room building in Chicago near the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital. By using the new DuPont Tyvek® Fluid Applied, they’ve been able to help create a more energy efficient building.
We hear the heartfelt story of the Steinhauser family and their son Dominic, one of just hundreds of families who have become regular users of the four Ronald McDonald Houses based in Chicago. Anne Czarnecki, House Manager, explains how important it is for parents to be close to their children during hospital treatment, a service RMHC is proud to offer.
We learn from DuPont that this liquid version of DuPont™ Tyvek® provides a weather-resistant barrier - in one simple application, creating a safe, hygienic, and more energy efficient building, enabling RMHC to spend less on operating expenses and more on other necessities.
