Chase Barnhart serves as a manufacturing technology engineer in a facility that produces a diverse portfolio of thermoplastic engineering resins. His daily focus is to improve existing manufacturing processes and support new developments.

Chase is also responsible for providing engineering guidance for capital projects worth more than $1 million and leading initiatives to improve the reliability of manufacturing assets. Chase’s contributions have resulted in manufacturing productivity improvements and improving quality for Crastin® polyester resin, Rynite® polyester resin, and Delrin® acetal resins.
Chase joined DuPont Performance Polymers in 2007, immediately after receiving his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio University. He is currently assigned to the Specialty Compounding Division of the Washington Works Site – one of DuPont’s largest manufacturing sites, near Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Chase is an active member in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Outside of the workplace, he is an avid outdoorsman who particularly enjoys skiing, hiking, and mountain biking in the surrounding Appalachian foothills.
