DuPont has been recognized on Corporate Responsibility Magazine's 12th annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens List, known as the world's top corporate responsibility ranking based on publicly available information.
DuPont was ranked 30th on the 2012 list after being independently assessed in seven key areas: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial and governance.
The list’s creators assign a 19.5% weighting to environmental impact and employee relations because they think these are areas that consumers, shareholders and employees care most about.
“This ranking is a direct result of the hard work of our employees around the world that uphold DuPont’s core values every day when they come to work,” said Benito Cachinero-Sánchez, senior vice president – DuPont Human Resources. “Our sustainability goals and progress continue to drive pride amongst our employees and customers.”
“Our reputation is held in the eyes of the beholder, and it is how the world perceives us. The world and DuPont has never been more dynamic -- meaning our reputation is constantly being put to the test, often in new and emerging ways,” said DuPont Global Public Affairs Director Anthony Farina. “This recognition as among the best corporate citizens is another testament to DuPont's earned reputation around the world.”
