Efforts to cut the deficit will be on the minds of Jeff Gordon and Team DuPont this weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
Four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff has had strong runs in 2012, but an engine issue, pit road miscues and accidents have resulted in poor finishes. He is currently 21st in point standings - 90 out of the lead - entering Saturday’s race.
"This race is one that is on our radar," Jeff said. "We ran well at California a few weeks ago, so that has me excited going to the one-and-a-half mile tracks. Right now, it's just about putting the whole race together. It's about having the car that we need and limiting our mistakes. We just have to focus on winning races right now.”
During Saturday's race, the www.PA24.com web address appeared on the DuPont 24 “20 Years” Chevrolet Impala. The DuPont Performance Alliance is a network of 1,100-plus certified collision repair centers that vehicle owners and insurers can trust to deliver top-notch auto body and paint repairs and the highest level of consumer satisfaction.
