The ranking, which measures the 100 most reputable companies in Argentina and is audited by KPMG, recognized DuPont as No. 2 among chemical companies, followed by other prestigious international companies.
About 1,600 people were interviewed for the ranking, including executives, business consultants, journalists, non-governmental agency (NGO) members, opinion leaders and citizens.
In Argentina, the Merco ranking has been conducted annually since 2010. Using the same “multi-stakeholder” methodology, this survey has been performed in Spain since 2001, and in seven other Latin American countries: Colombia (2008), Chile (2010) Ecuador (2011), and starting this year, in Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Bolivia.
Merco, which is recognized worldwide for measuring corporate reputation, emerged from the university research of the “Universidad Complutense de Madrid” in Spain, and relies on international companies for field work. In the case of Argentina, “Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero” was involved in the research.
