Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI), a global diversified technology and industrial leader, recognized DuPont Refrigerants with two awards for sustainability excellence. The first honor, a supplier excellence award from the company’s Building Efficiency business, led to DuPont being selected for a JCI Corporate Sustainability Leadership award.
The business-level award was presented at a ceremony in Milwaukee, Wis., where JCI is headquartered. Kathy McCord, DuPont Fluorochemicals business director, and Anne Streker, U.S. STOEM segment leader, DuPont Refrigerants, accepted the award. Thierry Vanlancker, president, DuPont Chemicals & Fluoroproducts, accepted the JCI Corporate Sustainability Leadership award.
“We appreciate being honored by a respected global manufacturer like Johnson Controls, which has high standards for sustainability,” said Thierry. “We are proud of the ways DuPont Refrigerants has contributed to our corporate Sustainability Goals.”
JCI selected DuPont for these awards due to its leadership in the development of zero ozone depleting refrigerants and based on environmental stewardship factors including carbon disclosure, energy use and other corporate values including respect for people and ethics.
“DuPont was the supplier that demonstrated leadership consistent with JCI values, and that best emulates the qualities our leadership wanted to recognize in the area of sustainability,” said Carolyn Woznicki, vice president, global purchasing & supply chain, JCI Building Efficiency. “In our selection process for these awards, DuPont represented the best of the best in both practices and results. We depend on great suppliers for our success, and our supplier excellence awards are a way to recognize quality, excellence in execution and environmental responsibility.”
