DuPont Building Innovations in Korea recently collaborated with MOTO Design, a Korean interior design house, to showcase new interior applications made with DuPont™ Corian® solid surface in the 2012 Seoul Living Design Fair.

The MOTO Design exhibit showcased ceiling panel lighting, a glowing chair called a MINI STONY and a collection of color LED lighting. It was the first time MOTO Design had adopted Corian® solid surface into its collection.

"We choose Corian® to be the first to market because of its high performance, design flexibility and diversity of color. We are confident that only Corian® can help optimize our designs,” said M.H. Song, president, MOTO Design.

The collection expresses soft, dreamy light through a harmony of smooth textures and natural patterns. The patterns of various depths can enrich the color tones, visualizing the delicate beauty of nature. The space created a unique and fantastic atmosphere and provided opportunities to experience color therapy lighting.

"This collaboration improves the synergy and values among DuPont, MOTO Design, ELINN Lighting, system hardware provider EG Truss and the fabricator ABIS,” said James Song, sales representative for Building Innovations. “DuPont provides high-end solutions to designers, and our business value differentiates us from our competition. We demonstrate the capability of achieving sustainable growth with partners. I’m confident that we will establish more partnership with our market-facing business model.”

Established in Korea since 1988, MOTO Design has exported its design to 20 suppliers in eight countries, including Lucent Technologies in  the U.S., Lenovo in China and Hitachi in Japan, to name a few.
