DuPont Senior Vice President of Human Resources Benito Cachinero-Sánchez talked to FORTUNE Turkey magazine about the company’s human resources strategy during his recent visit to Turkey, where he also met with DuPont employees.

The FORTUNE interview resulted in a full-page article, which focuses on the company’s ambitious growth strategy with a specific focus on talent acquisition and a robust and diverse leadership pipeline. Benito also underlined the strong financial performance of the company and the importance of developing local talent.

“Turkey is among the best performing economies in the world and a key market for us,” he said. “The strength of the country is its people. Turkey has a population of 70 million, of which 24.7 million professionals are active in the labor force, with 53% under 30 years of age. In 2011 our revenues in Turkey grew 31% versus 2010 giving us a solid foundation for further growth.”

While in Turkey, Benito hosted a town hall meeting at the Istanbul office and held focus group meetings with employees.

“This was my first time in Turkey,” he said. “It was very energizing to get engaged with our employees. We have a dynamic and highly educated workforce here in Turkey. People are contributing to business growth and creating an impact.”
