A group of employees from Building Innovations recently visited the Mary Campbell Center in Wilmington, Del., for a United Way Days of Caring activity.

They participated in a fall spruce-up project on the center’s grounds. Some of the employees cleaned and weeded flower beds, others raked and bagged leaves, while the remaining volunteers laid 16 yards of mulch.

“It was a very rewarding experience and it felt good to give back to the local community,” one employee said,

Another said, “It felt great to do something for the community plus provide a fun team building experience for all.”

Among the volunteers were Kirk Florey, Joseph Gutosky, Denise Graves, Ginger Hunter, Harwood Johnson, Thomas Kearns, Janice Logan, Janet Mease, John Motzel, Stephen Reynolds, Sandra Saunders, Sharon Weiss, Virginia Welch, Patti Wolfe and Jason Wolff.

Since 1976, the Mary Campbell Center has been providing a home, support, education, medical assistance and a varied program of activities for people with disabilities.
