DuPont recently announced plans to open an office in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and showcased products and services for various industries at Innoprom, the biggest industry and innovation exhibition in Russia.
“We are pleased to announce that our company has decided to open an office in the capital of the Ural region,” said Jiri Lang, DuPont Russia country manager. “This will help us be closer to our customers, production companies and consumers and more quickly respond to their needs.”
Innoprom hosted more than 55,000 visitors, including key business leaders, government officials and Russia Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“We would very much like to see a company like DuPont, with long history, bright perspective and new technologies occupying its niche in our territory, and for us to carry out a number of projects together,” said Sverdlovsk region Prime Minister Denis Pasler.
Yekaterinburg is the fourth most populous city in Russia and the capital of the Sverdlovsk region and Ural Federal district. It is known for its engineering, food manufacturing and printing industries, as well as its metallurgy and military-industrial complex.
