DuPont recently received awards in the Ag Chemicals and Seeds categories at the National Agribusiness Forum in Campinas, Brazil. The award recognizes companies and institutions that are committed to the sustainable development of agribusiness in Brazil, using modern and innovative technology and management tools, with socioeconomic vision and involvement in global markets.
"The award reinforces the important role DuPont plays in the agricultural industry in Brazil, focusing on the challenge of feeding a growing population," said Ricardo Vellutini, president of DuPont Brazil, and vice president of DuPont Crop Protection in Latin America, who was presented with the Ag Chemicals category award. "Receiving this award from a team of great names in the market is an honor for us."
The award for the Seeds category was received by Roberto de Rissi, director of DuPont Pioneer.
More than 300 corporate leaders, government authorities and industry experts attended the event to discuss the future of agriculture in Brazil. The meeting was sponsored by LIDE, a group of business leaders headed by João Doria Jr., and by LIDE Agronegócios, led by Roberto Rodrigues, a former Minister of Agriculture and Coordinator of the Fundação Getúlio Vargas Center for Agribusiness.
