DuPont Brazil was recently recognized by Você S/A, a personal finance and career development magazine, as the No. 1 company to work for in the chemical industry and the No. 1 company in career development, among all companies from dozens of different industries.

More than 500 companies participated in this annual survey, which includes multiple components, including an online questionnaire (answered by almost 500 randomly selected employees), focus groups and the presentation of a complete book describing the company’s best practices.

Some important strengths highlighted by the magazine were the “commitment that employees have with solid and well disseminated core values” and their “sense of accountability with their own careers,” making it clear that career development is the result of a partnership between employees and their supervisors.

Another strength highlighted by the magazine was the “efficient internal communication strategy, which makes employees feel engaged and reinforces their partnership with the company and their leaders."

"This is the result of an engaged organization, whose adherence to corporate values and commitment to development makes a difference," said Ricardo Vellutini, president, DuPont Brazil. "Being the first does not mean we are perfect. On the contrary, there are several opportunities for improvement, and this is what motivates us to continue to seek new and creative ways of being an excellent company to work for."

This year also marks the 75th anniversary of DuPont Brazil.

“On behalf of the leadership of DuPont Brazil, we thank all employees who were part of our history of success through the last 75 years, building this work environment that the market is now recognizing as one of the best in the country," said Claudia Pohlmann, Human Resources director for DuPont Brazil.
