DuPont™ Solamet® PV18A photovoltaic metallization paste improves the productivity of solar cells and profitability of solar cell manufacturers.


DuPont Microcircuit Materials (MCM) has introduced the first in a new series of metallization pastes that enables solar cells to convert sunlight into electricity more efficiently than ever before.

New DuPont™ Solamet® PV18A photovoltaic metallization paste not only improves the productivity of solar cells, it improves the profitability of solar cell manufacturers since less of the material is required to produce each cell.  

“Solamet® PV18x expands productivity by offering more with less—more efficiency, with less material required,” said Peter Brenner, global photovoltaic marketing manager, DuPont Microcircuit Materials. “It is further widening the gap in performance with other competitive products in the market.”

This latest generation surpasses the performance of the Solamet® PV17x series, the current industry benchmark.  

Over the last dozen years, Solamet® pastes have almost doubled the efficiency of solar cells.
